Mario Theodore received his Juris Doctor degree from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois and is currently working on obtaining his Master of Science Degree specializing in Mental Health Counseling, Trauma and Crisis Specialization. He received his B.A. in journalism with honors from Columbia College Chicago. Mario is a former 9-year veteran of the Cook County Sheriff's Department.

In 2006 Mario relocated to Florida and began his legal career with the 19th Circuit Public Defender's Office in Martin County Florida. As an Assistant Public Defender he has represented clients in misdemeanor and felony court and has also worked as Mental Health and Drug Court Attorney for Martin County.

Mario opened his own firm in 2008 which primarily concentrated in criminal law and foreclosure defense cases. In 2009 he began representing clients in family law and has represented numerous clients in divorce, child support and timesharing/custody cases throughout South Florida.

Mario's life experiences give him a unique ability to effectively communicate with people from all walks of life which ultimately translates into a higher degree of success for his clients. Mario is functional in Spanish and Haitian Kreyol.


Patricia Brown has been with the firm since 2011 as its paralegal. She is originally from Brazil and speaks fluent Portuguese. Patricia is a licensed attorney in Brazil and still maintains legal contacts in that country that are able to assist our Brazilian clients with property purchases in Brazil and a number of other matters. Patricia has a Master of Laws in U.S. Law.
