Senior Attorney

Mario is originally from the southeast side or the South Shore community of Chicago, Illinois, and moved to South Florida with his family in 2006  after graduating from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. Mario comes from a diverse ethnic background which includes strong American and Caribbean ties. Mario is an example of the American "melting pot" because his family is comprised of Americans, Haitians, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Jamaicans, Cubans, Mexicans, and a whole lot of other "cans" *smile*

Mario began his legal career working as an officer for the Cook County Sheriff's Department from 1995 through 2004. While in law school Mario also worked as a law clerk for Reda & DesJardins, Ltd., and as a student "prosecutor" with the Chicago Board of Education.

After moving to Florida, Mario worked as a Certified Legal Intern with the 19th Judicial Circuit Public Defender's Office (Martin, St. Lucie, Indian River, Okeechobee counties), before becoming a licensed attorney in 2007. Mario then worked for the public defender's office as an assistant public defender (attorney). As an assistant public defender, Mario has defended hundreds of people facing misdemeanor and felony charges. Mario also helped client's in mental health and drug court.

Mario's love for his diverse community and "go getter" attitude, led him to leave the public defender's office in October 2008 to form The Law Office of Mario R. Theodore, P.A., which is now Fair Price Legal. As a solo practitioner, Mario dedicated himself to learning other areas of law so he could better serve his community. To date, Fair Price Legal has successfully represented hundreds of clients in Family Law, Foreclosure, Immigration, and other matters.

Mario's diverse background and life experiences give him a unique ability to relate to and empathize with clients in a way that most attorneys cannot. In addition to English, Mario can communicate in Haitian Kreyol, Spanish, and French.
